GIVING TUESDAY NOW

Global Day of Giving 2020

Generosity gives everyone the power to make a positive change in the lives of others and is a fundamental value anyone can act on.

Today is Giving Tuesday Now, a new global day of giving and unity today as an emergency response to the unprecedented need caused by COVID-19.

It's not just about fundraising, it’s a day for people everywhere to unite in their individual power and make a difference for the causes you care about. Donations are critically needed, but not everyone can give financially.

You can still make a difference for someone in prison right now by

  • sharing our mission with a friend,

  • sending a message of hope to one of our clients,

  • or educating someone in your circle about wrongful convictions.

Today we are excited to launch our campaign to raise $10,000 for IPF's Exoneree Support Fund. This fund provides transition support for dozens of clients around Florida in the most basic ways - helping individuals buy groceries, work boots, pay for health insurance or medication, and make sure they do not have to worry about these current circumstances.

Thanks to a generous donor, every donation made to this fund will be matched until we hit our goal of $10,000. Your donation will go twice as far - there's no better time to give.

Take action today to support our mission and help ensure that our organization can continue to grow in our capacity to find, free, and provide ongoing support to freed innocents throughout the state.

Your gift will be doubled until we reach our $10,000 goal thanks to a generous donor!

Leonard Cure came home on April 14, 2020, after more than 16 years behind bars. He walked free from Sumter Correctional Institution, as a result of an agreement between the Conviction Review Unit (CRU) in the office of Seventeenth Judicial Circuit State Attorney Michael Satz, and Cure’s attorneys at the Innocence Project of Florida (IPF).

Leonard is isolating at home with his mom, and we would love you to help us send him messages of support as he transitions home during this difficult time. Write a message and submit it here. We will get all of your messages to him! We will not subscribe you to our regular emails via this form.

Thanks for your message of support! We'll get this to our client.
