Stand Up for Innocence is back!

After a 3-year hiatus due to COVID-19, IPF is excited to bring back its annual comedy events. In Febraury 2023, Stand Up for Innocence will return to Tampa, Lake Park, and Ft. Lauderdale to bring levity and laughs in order to raise money for a serious cause. All proceeds from this benefit go toward funding our work to find and free innocent people from prison in Florida.

Learn more about each of the events at the links below.

The Innocence Project of Florida has adjusted to the ongoing challenges brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic. Our priority is the safety of our clients, applicants, and staff.

IPF will continue to actively respond to individuals and clients while adjusting to changing safety protocols. The IPF staff have transitioned to remote work and traveling with safety precautions in place.

Please take all necessary precautions recommended by the World Health Organization, CDC, and your State and Local officials. Take care of one another and be safe.

Leonard Cure Exonerated After More Than 16 Years Wrongfully Imprisoned

A little more than a year after beginning review of Leonard Cure's case, the State Attorney's Conviction Review Unit of the 17th Judicial Circuit has fully exonerated him of the convictions that imprisoned him for more than 16 years.
UNLOCK THE TRUTH

The Innocence Project of Florida's mission is to find and free the innocent in Florida prisons, help exonerees transition back into a changed society, and work to reform the criminal justice system.
