Jose Sena

Intake Specialist

Jose joined the Innocence Project of Florida in early 2026. He is responsible for all early-stage casework in the Intake department, including regular correspondence with incarcerated individuals and conducting extensive public records research. Prior to his current role, Jose served as an Intake Intern with IPF and worked as an Investigator with the Public Defender’s Office.

Jose recently graduated from Florida State University with a bachelor’s degree in Criminology and a minor in Social Work. His academic and professional interests include criminal defense, social justice, and family law advocacy. He hopes to attend law school in Tennessee, where he can pursue his legal career while staying closer to his favorite basketball team, the Memphis Grizzlies.
