Michaela joined the Innocence Project of Florida in August 2026 as a Transition Services Specialist. Prior to joining IPF, she worked in high-acuity settings supporting and advocating for individuals with mental health and substance use disorders. As a clinical social worker, Michaela brings experience in case management, crisis intervention, discharge planning, and psychotherapy. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Florida and her Master of Social Work from Florida State University. She is currently a Registered Clinical Social Work Intern pursuing her LCSW in Florida. Michaela is passionate about trauma-informed care, access to education, and social justice. Outside of the office, Michaela enjoys spending time with her two cats, reading, cooking, exploring local parks and trails, and crafting.
